Alkalizing Pineapple Cooler for Digestion & Cramps

If you want to improve digestion and ease pain cause by inflammation (cramps, arthritis, gout, etc.), then this is just the juice for you! Pineapple contains a digestive enzyme called bromelain, which keeps things running smoothly by aiding in the breakdown of fats and protein, helping to reduce inflammation. The anti-inflammatory effects of pineapple also help relax muscles (especially after an intense workout) and ease painful cramps (helpful for ladies!).

The greens involved in this juice (cucumber, celery, zucchini, spinach & kale) also provide an alkalizing effect on the body, by providing it with a host of vitamins and minerals and crucial phytonutrients.

- 2 cups ripe pineapple
- 2 cups spinach
- 2 cups kale
- 3 inches ginger root
- 1 lime (peeled if not organic)
- 1 lemon (peeled if not organic)
- 2 granny smith apples
- 4 celery stalks
- 1 small zucchini (or 1/2 large)
- 1 smell cucumber (or 1/2 large)

Juice the above ingredients in a juicer such as the Omega Juicer (my recommended favourite), and enjoy immediately to prevent oxidation!
